Dr. Benson's practice emphasis is on treatment of glaucoma, diabetic eye dises, macular degeneration, dry eye, and other eye problems in addition to providing quality eye care to all ages.

Dr. Benson is both types of eye doctors: Optometrist AND Ophthalmologist. Practicing with the motto, "Caring for you, not just your eyes," he has been attending to his patients for more than 25 years.

What To Bring
For a new patient appointment:
- Your old glasses.
- Your old eye records (if you have them).
- The name and address of your old eye doctor.
- Your insurance cards.
- Approved photo identification (such as drivers license)
- If you received our paperwork (or downloaded it off of this internet site), please complete it and bring it.
- Your actual eye medications and a list of your other medications.
- A method of payment for the portion of the bill that is your responsibility.
- A driver if you vision is poor.
- An adult family member if you are under 18.
- If you need assistance, such as with mobility, memory or language, please bring someone to help you.
- If you will be filling out paperwork at the time of exam (basically every full exam appointment), please come a bit early to complete it.
For a follow-up appointment:
- Your eye medications and glasses.
- Your insurance card (especially if it has changed)
- Patience and kindness to the helpful staff at the front desk.
- A method of payment for the portion of the bill that is your responsibility.
- A driver if you vision is poor.
- An adult family member if you are under 18.
- If you need assistance, such as with mobility, memory or language, please bring someone to help you.
What NOT to bring:
- Please do not bring in more than one person with you. The exam and waiting rooms are designed for two people per appointment.
- We love children but if we are examining you, and you want to bring a child, please note that our attention needs to be on you. There is expensive, breakable equipment in the exam room and some children are not suited to being unattended.
- Please do not bring in active infections such as bad colds or the flu.
